Alessandra BB (born 1986, Belarus) lives and works in Barcelona. She is an artist who explores what it means to be human beyond social expectations. She studied Fashion Design at IED Barcelona (2008), and her experience in the fashion industry shaped how she sees beauty standards and the pressure they create. This influences how she approaches identity, authenticity, and change in her work.
Alessandra works in painting, installations, and performance, focusing on memory, the body, and social taboos. She creates spaces where vulnerability and inner strength meet. Her art invites people to rethink personal and cultural stories, helping them accept themselves and see things differently.
At the heart of her work is the connection between personal experience and the wider social world. She highlights not just fragility and pain, but also our ability to feel empathy, understand each other, and love. Through her art, Alessandra encourages conversations that challenge stereotypes and inspire ongoing personal and social growth.
